Got any questions related to air duct cleaning and maintenance? Continue reading and you will learn more about air ducts and the benefits of keeping them properly maintained.

How many hours does it take to clean an HVAC unit?

It depends on a lot of factors. Our experts usually take into consideration the size of the home or office space, the corresponding size of the HVAC system, and the extent of the contamination from bacteria build up.

How do you know if your HVAC system is clean enough?

Visual inspections and swab tests usually work to determine the cleanliness of your HVAC unit. You can take a picture before it is cleaned and compare it later to assess if there is significant change. You can also run a cotton swab after cleaning to see if there are still particles that stick. Ask our expert cleaners to help you with this assessment after they render their cleaning service.

Is a wet air duct filter a serious cause for concern?

Yes, this is a serious problem. Even a minimal amount of water present inside the heating, ventilation and cooling system can cause mold growth and other types of damage. It is not sufficient to clean the water and to replace the filter, the leak must be found and eliminated.

Can I use tape for sealing air duct leaks?

Technically, you can, but this is the worst idea ever. Even though it’s easy to apply, duct tape is not strong at all, fits poorly and has practically no insulating properties. Air duct leaks should be covered with a seal which has been especially made for the purpose. If a leak is too big, special repair or replacement may be required.
